Clamping

Our FORMHAND gripping pads make it possible to make classic clamping applications more flexible. Here, a clamping system grips not only varying object sizes, but also different geometries. Due to their high adaptability and simultaneous stability under pressure load, the universal gripping pads are ideally suited as variable-shape clamping jaws. During the clamping process, the unloaded gripping pads shape themselves to the geometry of the object. The gripping pad solidifies as a result of the shape adaptation. The resulting form fit fixes the object in the best possible way and at the same time protects the object to be clamped due to the large effective surface. Additional evacuation of the gripping pads maximizes the form fit and the imprinted geometries can be maintained over several clamping cycles.
