The high adaptability of the gripping pads makes FORMHAND technology a universally applicable clamping device that replaces many product-specific solutions.
Our FORMHAND gripping pads can be used not only for lifting and transporting objects, they also serve as a flexible clamping element. As with our grippers, a cushion that is soft and malleable in its basic state serves to ensure that almost any geometry can be imprinted in the clamping element. Due to the large contact surface, many objects can already be positively secured against a change in position by the influence of gravity. If higher clamping forces are required or if the imprinted shape is to be maintained for a longer period, the quasi-air-tight cushion can be additionally evacuated and thus hardened by applying a vacuum.
